Girl power represented at Reeperbahn Festival

With a general rock vibe across many artists featured, there’s a bit of a girl power element woven throughout the lineup. Demonstrating their own unique take on the genre, artists like Anna Calvi, Caroline Rose, Nuha Ruby Ra, and Ultraflex come to mind. Also, as one of the performers highlighted at the Hamburg Philharmonie, Anna Calvi is provided the space to surround audiences with her strong vocals. The venue promises to take Calvi to new heights.

Return of 2021 Anchor Award nominee Lie Ning

As part of the Reeperbahn Festival, the Anchor Award honours exceptional talent. One of last year’s nominees, Lie Ning returns for this year’s instalment. With an emotionally charged performance, this artist is worth a favourite in your planner. If you’re a fan of Anohni, you’ll definitely enjoy Lie Ning.

Ukraine showcase

In response to the ongoing war, the festival made special space for Ukrainian artists with willkommensKULTUR Berlin and Vitsche Culture. Due to these collaborations, featured acts are given a chance to connect with the world. Above all, with two showcases, Reeperbahn Festival makes a stance against the ongoing conflict and shows support for Ukraine.

One thing’s for certain, this year’s event will be far different than what was experienced during lockdown in 2021. As a result, the parties for Reeperbahn Festival 2022 are in full swing.
